The aim of this summer school is provide the researcher interested in understanding the nature of advent of mathematics in physics with some foundation. Classical field theory, special relativity, quantum mechanics, identical particles (bosons and fermions) and quantum field theory are the topics which will be discussed.

This summer school is held at the same time as the summer school on “the Introduction to Vertex (Operator) Algebra/Quantum Theory”. It is expected the relation between vertex (operator) algebra and quantum field theory to create a synergistic effect and participants gain more knowledge.

As per the agreement among the class members and the respected lecturer, the classes for this summer school will start at 9 am.

The registration is free of charge. We encourage the following to participate in this school:
- All researchers of the IPM
- All young researcher
- All students (PhD and MSc)
- All faculty members

During registration, please select "Waived" in the "Payment Type" section, and then upload a copy of your ID-card in the "Bank Receipt" section of the registration portal. Remember the following information:
If you select "Waived", you might notice that the mandatory "Payment Fee" remains inactive. If this happens, first select "Half" or "Full" from the "Payment Type" section to refresh the page. Then, you can select "Waived" again to refresh the page once more. After doing this, "Payment Fee" should become optional.
