Nonsmooth Optimization: Theory, Algorithms and Applications

● Objectives

Nonsmooth optimization problems involve optimizing objective function(s) over a feasible region defined by their constraints such that objective and/or constraint functions are typically not differentiable at their minimizers (maximizers). These kinds of problems can be found in many applied fields, for example in image denoising, optimal control, neural network training, data mining, economics, computational chemistry and physics. Hence studying these problems are among the most challenging tasks in the field of mathematical programming.
The international workshop on "Nonsmooth Optimization: Theory, Algorithms and Applications (NOTAA2022)" will be held online at Isfahan-Branch of Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM) on October 26-27, 2022. This event brings together experts and researchers all over the world working in Nonsmooth Optimization to discuss and share the latest advances for drawing directions of future studies.
